Promoting civil society in Ukraine, Moldova and the Visegrad countries. Exploring local Jewish history with new media tools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

From October 30 – November 1, 2020, we hosted a three-day online training seminar for 50 educators from Ukraine, Moldova and the Visegrad countries. This seminar allowed participants to learn about Jewish history and heritage and to explore them with new media tools. During the three days we heard historical lectures, introduced participants to Centropa\u2018s educational tools, learned about remembrance and educational projects and how they are implemented in class, and offer several interactive workshops and work in small groups.<\/p>\n\n

As a pre-webinar assignment, we asked participants to watch the Centropa film \u201eSurviving Stalin’s Gulag”<\/a> about Haya-Lea Detinko and to visit Centropa’s Trans.History AudioWalk<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
